Bruce Springsteen - Tunnel of love

Tunnel of love uit 1987 is de opvolger van het uiterst succesvolle born in the u.s.a. en is te karakteriseren als een gedegen en sfeervol album dat je - in tegenstelling tot veel andere albums van Springsteen - gemakkelijk als achtergrondmuziek op kunt zetten. Nergens explodeert het; de instrumentatie blijft bescheiden en in combinatie met de typische Springsteen-stem levert dat een prachtig liedjesalbum op. Hits vielen ook van dit album te noteren, waaronder juweeltjes als tunnel of love, brilliant disguise, one step up en tougher than the rest. Mijn favoriete nummer is echter all that heaven will allow.
