 Dit is het album waarmee Garland Jeffreys in 1991 zijn come-back maakte, 9 jaar na guts for love. Het leverde deze sympathieke New Yorker 3 hits op, nl. hail hail rock 'n' roll, the answer en welcome to the world. Hail hail rock 'n' roll bereikte in Nederland zelfs de 4e plaats en dat betekende een evenaring van de positie die Garland Jeffreys in 1980 met het nummer matador behaalde.
