The Stranglers
The Stranglers is een Engelse band die aanvankelijk punkmuziek speelt, maar die zich begin jaren negentig richt op rustige luisterpop. Van de groep zijn opvallend veel compilatie-albums verschenen. Grootste hit van de groep uit het punktijdperk is no more heroes en uit de jaren tachtig is het nummer golden brown het meest bekend.
